THE DIFFERENCE OF BVLGARI DIAMONDS
All jewellery is not created equal
By balancing style and substance, masterful technique and finest materials, Bulgari is able to achieve its unmistakeable essence.
Only a small percentage of diamonds are of gem quality.
Of these, an even smaller percentage passes Bulgari’s strict criteria. All Bvlgari diamonds are examined and chosen with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring they are the world’s finest.
As further quality testament, each piece comes with certification from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the world’s largest most well-respected institute of gemological research. According to GIA, diamond purity and uniqueness are determined by four factors commonly known as The Four C’s: cut, clarity, carat weight and color.
DIAMOND CARAT WEIGHT
The carat is the unit of weight for a diamond. The size of a diamond can increase its value and rarity, but is less important if it is not matched with a good grade of color and clarity, and cut with proper proportions.
The number, position, type, colour and prominence of diamond internal inclusions and the external aspects of a diamond determine the clarity grade.
The cut enhances the diamond’s ability to capture and reflect light to reveal all of its splendour and brilliance.
Color grading represents a fundamental element of the diamond. Less color means more value and rarity.
