From Rome to London

The London flagship store emphasizes Italian classicism as interpreted in the English architecture, drawing on Bvlgari’s Mediterranean origins and Roman traditions.

Entering the store is a discovery – a walk in the city of Rome.
In the main entrance, visitors will see a star-patterned mosaic shining like diamonds in a Bulgari jewel.
Italian artisans installed more than 400,000 glass and Italian white Lasa marble pieces, so as to create geometric shapes of circles, squares and stars.

In the London Temple Showcases with Imperial Saffron shantung silk

On the walls, the so-called Condotti showcases are a clear reference to the ones still present in Condotti flagship:
adorned with Imperial Saffron shantung silk, the fabric plays with light to warm the atmosphere and the ambiance, reproducing the warm effect of the Eternal City, the city kissed by the sun.

London store of Bulgari the male area reminds of a gentlemen club

From the main area, clients can access more exclusive areas.
The Male area reminds of a gentlemen’s club of the 1950s or 1960s, with dark colors and a masculine atmosphere.
It is characterized by dark green suede, with different rich embossed textures, so as to create contrast and enhance the boldness of the brand.

The Accessories areas are a tribute to the 1970s and to two important Italian designers of that decade: Carlo Scarpa and Angelo Mangiarotti.

At the end of the promenade, clients will admire the beautiful work of art of the French sculptor Antoine Poncet (Epurée, 1984) made of pale rose marble on a red Persian travertine stone base.

Magnificent staircase that recalls that of Carlo Scarpa in Palermo, Italy.

Visitors can reach the upper floor by means of a magnificent staircase that recalls that of Carlo Scarpa in Palazzo Abatellis in Palermo, Italy.
This scenographic staircase exquisitely combines the design of veined marble hexagonal steps together with the unique bronze Pantheon Mesh.

The magnificent staircase leads to the most glamorous and exclusive areas of the store: the high-end Accessories areas, two VIP lounges and a luxurious Happening room, where Bulgari special guests are invited to live and taste the Italian Dolce Vita, Bulgari’s contemporary way of life.

The VIP area is reproduced on the basis of the original Elizabeth Taylor lounge

The VIP area is reproduced on the basis of the original ‘Elizabeth Taylor lounge’ (‘Il Salottino Taylor’), namely the lounging room in Rome where the Hollywood actress used to spend many hours, escaping from paparazzi through the secret door of Palazzo Maruscelli-Lepri.

Like the temple of Rome, in London all exclusive rooms of the upper floor are kissed by the sunlight

As previously done in the Roman Condotti promenade, all exclusive rooms of the upper floor are kissed by the sunlight thanks to ceiling vaults inspired by John Soane’s house and to the original top skylight of one of the lounges, which has been discovered and beautifully restored for the occasion.
