A Celebration of Colour
Born from the storytelling collaboration between Bvlgari and National Geographic CreativeWorks, the documentary 'A Celebration of Colour' follows Bvlgari’s Jewellery Creative Director Lucia Silvestri and Global Ambassador Priyanka Chopra Jonas through the vibrant city of Jaipur, one of the gemstone capitals of the world.
A Chromatic Identity
Known as The Pink City, Jaipur is a vibrant maze of terracotta facades, golden marigolds and spice-laden markets. But here, colour is more than beauty – it’s language, woven into the very fabric of the town’s identity. Since 1727, its pink walls have drawn travellers and artisans alike. Behind them thrives a centuries-old heritage of jewellery craftsmanship and an art of gemstone cutting, introduced by master jewellers from across Rajasthan and beyond.
A Legacy of Colour
Jaipur's deep-rooted culture of colour and craft has long resonated with Bvlgari's passion for exceptional stones, making the Indian city one of the main sources of exquisite gems for the Roman High Jeweller.
From Gem to Jewel
Tourmalines, sapphires, emeralds and rubellites are hand-selected under Lucia’s expert gaze. “I’m starting to dream”, she tells Priyanka, as Jaipur’s heritage and nature’s wonders come together to inspire creations that celebrate the colours of the city.
An Inspired Encounter
Having visited Jaipur over 40 times, Lucia Silvestri invited a special guest to join her journey – Bvlgari Global Ambassador Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Though born in India, Priyanka had only glimpsed the city a few times. This visit offered her the chance to explore its vibrant landmarks through Lucia’s eyes – and to witness the poetic ritual of selecting the stones that will become Bvlgari’s next one-of-a-kind creations.
