Art and Patronage

The value of cultural legacy has already been emphasized by Bvlgari over time through a long series of patronage initiatives which, to date, include the financing of the restoration of the Scala d’Oro in Venice, the Spanish Steps in Rome, the floor mosaics at the Baths of Caracalla, the 90 Greek and Roman statues from the Torlonia collection, the Area Sacra in Largo Argentina and the relamping of the Ara Pacis. The Maison has also fostered contemporary artistic experiences through meaningful partnerships such as those with the MAXXI Foundation, the Whitney Museum and Milan’s Design Week.

Education, Philanthropy

In keeping with Bvlgari’s support for lasting philanthropic causes fostering quality education, Fondazione Bvlgari will continue to reinforce its strategic partnership with Save the Children. Created in 2016 as an award recognizing talent in different fields regardless of gender, Avrora will become the foundation’s official platform for amplifying pioneering female voices and their game-changing ideas. Other initiatives in this field include Bvlgari’s partnership with the Tribeca Film Festival to support daring female artists, as well as the Maison’s participation in the Adotta Una Scuola initiative; part of the Altagamma project which aims to strengthen the relationship between school and industry.

Transmission of Savoir-faire

Driven by Bvlgari’s unrivaled artisanal legacy, Fondazione Bvlgari will forge new partnerships and strengthen existing ones to create professional opportunities and specific training programs for future generations in the field of craftsmanship. Some examples to date include the Bvlgari Jewelry Academy, a training path dedicated to new recruits at the jewelry manufacture in Valenza, and the Métiers d’Excellence LVMH, the platform designed to pass on, enhance and reveal the crafts and talents of the Group. Furthermore, in the near future the Maison plans to open La Scuola Bvlgari at its manufacture in Valenza, the first Bulgari training school for external students.
