Would you like to introduce yourself?
My name is Sun Min, I’m South Korean and have been working at Bvlgari since 2022 as a Jewelry Designer.
At the age of 19, I moved to Rome to study Jewelry design and, afterwards, I lived in various cities such as Milan, New York and Paris, where I worked as an accessory and Jewelry watch designer for an important brand.
Ten years later, I returned to Rome to work at Bvlgari.

What made you want to apply to Bvlgari?
When I first came to Rome for my studies, I learned about Jewelry by studying the Bvlgari catalogs, which I considered as personal textbooks. Immersed in all that beauty, a dream to work for the brand naturally emerged, but after graduation my path took a different direction. As time passed, I still held onto my desire to make my youthful dream come true.
How does Rome inspire you in your job?
When I accepted the job at Bvlgari, the first thing I did before moving was to study the range of products and immerse myself in movies and documentaries related to Rome.
After joining the company, I delved into archives to understand the unique Bvlgari DNA, and explored every corner of the city, taking in the styles and colors.
So, when designing, I naturally incorporate Bvlgari heritage, the essence of Rome, and my diverse cultural experiences. I aim to blend tradition, innovation and sophistication in my designs, especially through the materials I choose.
I love that my team is international, and that we influence each other with our own cultures, but at the same time, Bvlgari Roman heritage is what glues us together.
What personal characteristics have helped you succeed in your role?
I always give my best to achieve an objective once I set it: if I have a goal, I will work towards it no matter how long it takes.
When facing difficult situations, I stay resilient and strive to lead in a more positive direction: as a designer you always put all your heart into your drawings and you need to be flexible, able to accept feedback and critics.
Also, while I approach design and everyday life with a lot of emotion, I tend to make rational judgments quickly in work-related situations, which help me to be efficient.
Last but not least, in my career I always prioritize teamwork, with the aim of contributing to a warm atmosphere: being a designer doesn’t mean being alone with your own creations, it means being part of a strong team to empower yourself.
Any advice for future talent wanting to pursue the same career path?
I believe opportunities come to everyone.
However, the ability to seize those opportunities requires skills and character that are built over a long period of time. It’s important to develop the strength to persevere and overcome challenges.
I hope everyone can pursue a path that brings them joy and allows them to do what they love.
