COMPETITIVE INTELLIGENCE ANALYST
I’m Anna Chiara, I come from a small town outside Bologna, Italy. I joined Bvlgari in 2018 as part of the Finance team and I have covered various roles over the past few years: first in the Controlling department and then as a member of the Network Development and Competitive Intelligence units. Some of the things I love include traveling and learning new languages; this is why, when I was at university, I studied in the United States for two years and in Hong Kong for one.
There are many reasons why working at Bvlgari feels different. The first one that comes to mind is that our Maison gives you the opportunity to collaborate and learn from people with diverse backgrounds, skills and cultures. The company’s worldwide reach truly enriches my day-to-day learning experience and is a big plus that I would not have in a smaller setting.
As a Competitive Intelligence Analyst, my job is to analyze specific projects (such as openings and renovations) concerning our boutiques around the world, making sure they represent true strategic opportunities for Bvlgari from a commercial and financial point of view. On a typical workday, I collaborate with local markets as well as different teams within the company (such as Interior Design), and once I have all the information, I present the project to the top management.
This side of my job requires me to strengthen my critical thinking and forecasting skills every day.
I feel the team spirit the most when I know I can count on my colleagues and counterparts from all over the world. Whenever I need some information or market expertise on a subject, I know I can pick up the phone and depend on their full collaboration and valuable input.
The main advice that comes to mind is to always stay curious. Asking questions, trying new approaches and constantly thinking about new and innovative ideas are all key parts of my daily experience at Bvlgari. I believe these are things you can even practice at university, through joining student clubs and taking part in group projects, or taking elective courses to enrich your CV.
