Responsibly
Sourced Diamonds

Following the establishment in 2003 of the Kimberley Process—a multilateral trade body with the goal of preventing the flow of conflict diamonds—all the diamonds that Bvlgari buys are natural and covered by its certification scheme. Bvlgari suppliers are also members of trade associations such as the World Diamond Council, which aims to implement the Kimberley Process through a self-regulation system.
Indeed, through the application of the World Diamonds Council System of Warranties, Bvlgari ensures that the invoices include a specific statement declaring that diamonds are not coming from conflict-affected areas and respect UN resolutions.

In addition to requiring a Kimberley Process certificate, Bvlgari also works with suppliers who achieved the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) Code of Practices Certification. As of today, 100% of Bvlgari's diamond suppliers have obtained the RJC Code of Practices Certification.
Bvlgari’s due diligence program on the responsible sourcing of diamonds is regarded as a game-changer requiring a collective effort at the industry level.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND
WORK CONDITIONS

To ensure that all suppliers adopt ethical and sustainable practices, and comply with human rights standards, Bvlgari implements an internal monitoring system designed to assess environmental, social and working conditions throughout the supply chain, and compels its partners to consistently uphold these standards.
