In the belief that artists record and reinterpret the reality around us, with all the meaningful stimuli and inspiration this can bring, the Maison promotes several initiatives that encourage young talents in contemporary art.

MAXXI BULGARI PRIZE

Launched in 2017, the MAXXI BULGARI PRIZE is a biennial award born in collaboration with MAXXI, the Museum of 21st Century Art in Rome, to support young artists in Italy who create their artwork within the ambit of public institutions or private situations. A panel of art experts selects three shortlisted artists, who exhibit their site-specific artworks at MAXXI. Following the exhibition, an international jury of museums directors declares the winner. The finalists’ works become part of the permanent MAXXI collection.

BULGARI CONTEMPORARY ART AWARD DUBAI

In July 2021, for Expo 2020 Dubai, the Maison launched the biennial Bulgari Contemporary Art Award in collaboration with Dubai Culture & Arts Authority. The aim of the prize is to support young talents born or residing in Dubai by promoting a cultural exchange between Rome and Dubai. Starting with a group of artists selected by Dubai Culture, a team of experts shortlists three finalists who exhibit their artworks in Dubai. An international jury of museum directors and curators declares the winner.
