Bvlgari Donates Hand Sanitizer Gel To Fight Coronavirus

The Roman Jeweler intensifies support to Italian authorities to fight Covid-19

One month after announcing an important donation to the Spallanzani Hospital to acquire a new state of the art 3D high definition microscope, Bvlgari has announced its further contribution to the national effort to prevent, fight and eradicate Covid-19.

The hand sanitizer gel will be manufactured together with Bvlgari historical fragrances partner, ICR (Industrie Cosmetiche Riunite, Lodi) and distributed in 75ml recyclable bottles through the Protezione Civile (Italian Civil Protection Department) in order to help the most critical infrastructures today waging war against the Coronavirus. Bvlgari plans to manufacture hundreds of thousands of bottles in the coming 2 months.

Bvlgari is part of the LVMH Group, the world leader in luxury products and retailing, which announced last week a similar support to French Health Authorities, manufacturing in its Perfume & Cosmetics laboratories (Dior,Guerlain,Givenchy) around 50 tons per week of sanitizing hands gel to be generously distributed across French hospitals. The Group has also placed an order of a significant amount of masks to a Chinese supplier. The first 10 million masks will be delivered in France this week. The Group is also currently looking to send several millions masks to Italy and Spain.
