Cookies Policy

WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies (or markers) are small text files created by the web server on the user's device when the user accesses a particular website for the purpose of storing and transporting information.
These markers are sent by the web server to the user's device (usually to the browser) and stored so that the device can be recognized each time the user visits. Cookies are sent back to the website by the user's device each time the user visits the website.

First and third-party cookies
Cookies can be installed not only by the same operator of the website visited by the user (first-party cookies), but also by a different website that installs them through the first website (third-party cookies) and is able to recognize them. This happens because, on the website visited, there may be elements (images, maps, sounds, links to web pages of other domains, etc.) that reside on servers other than that of the website visited.

Technical, analytical and profiling cookies
Depending on the purpose, cookies are divided into technical and profiling cookies.
Technical cookies are set for the sole purpose of “transmitting a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such a service”.
They are usually used to allow efficient navigation between pages, store user preferences, store information on specific user configurations, perform user authentication, etc.
Technical cookies can be divided into navigation cookies, used to record data useful for normal navigation and use of the website on the user's computer (allowing, for example, to remember the preferred size of the page in a list), and functional cookies, which allow the website to remember the choices made by the user in order to optimise its functionality (for example, functional cookies allow the website to remember the specific settings of a user, such as the selection of the country and, if set, the status of permanent access).
Some of these cookies (called essential or strictly necessary) enable functions without which it would not be possible to perform certain operations.
The use of technical cookies does not require the consent of users, but only requires the obligation to inform users.
Analytics cookies are assimilated to technical cookies if they are:
i) developed and used directly by the operator of the website first party (without, therefore, the intervention of third parties) for the purpose of optimising the collection of aggregate information on the number of users and how they visit the website, and
ii) made and made available by third parties and used by the website first party for mere statistical purposes, if appropriate tools are adopted to reduce their identifying power (for example, by masking significant portions of the IP address) and if their use is subject to contractual obligations between the operator of the website first party and third parties, in which it is expressly referred to the commitment of the third party or to use them exclusively for the provision of the service, to store them separately and not to “enrich” or “cross” them with other information available to them.

Profiling cookies are used to track the user's navigation, analyse his/her behaviour for marketing purposes and create profiles on his/her tastes, habits, choices, etc. in order to transmit targeted advertising messages in relation to his/her interests and in line with the preferences expressed by the user in online navigation.

These cookies can only be installed on your terminal if you have given your prior consent.

Persistent and session cookies Based on their duration, cookies are distinguished into persistent, which remain stored, until they expire, on the user's device, saves removal by the latter, and session, which are not stored permanently on the user's device and disappear once the browser is closed.

WHICH COOKIES ARE USED BY THIS WEBSITE?

Technical Cookies
This website uses technical cookies in order to ensure and monitor the operation of the website, allow efficient navigation, guarantee the use of content and services requested by the user.
These cookies allow, for example, the recognition of the selected language and the country from which you connect to this website. These cookies recognise you when you return to the website and prevent you from having to enter your details each time. These types of markers allow, for example, if you have selected items for purchase in the shopping bag but do not complete the purchase, to resume and finalize the purchase the next time you return to visit the website. This type of cookie cannot be disabled, and its installation does not require your prior consent.

Cookie analytics This website uses analytical cookies created and made available by third parties (and Google) and used by the website to statistically analyse access to or visits to the website, allow the Data Controller to improve the structure, navigation logic and content and collect information on the use of the website.

For more details and information on Google's privacy policy and how Google uses cookies can be found at the following links:
https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/

You can download a browser plug-in to permanently oppose Google Analytics cookies at the following link:

Profiling Cookies
This website uses first-party profiling cookies in order to track and store user preferences detected during each visit to the bulgari.com website and thus create profiles that allow you to send messages more in keeping with your interests, for example, by allowing you to view more quickly the products you are looking for or to offer you the most similar item.
This website also allows the use of third-party profiling cookies that are used to make you see business proposals even when you visit other websites (retargeting).
This type of cookie will be installed on the user's devices only with the user's prior consent (expressed, as indicated below, by closing the banner, continuing to browse or accessing any element of the website).

Below are details of all cookies used on the website.
