Bvlgari and Save the Children: A Lasting Partnership

In 2009, to commemorate its 125th anniversary, Bvlgari celebrated its past by committing to a better future for the world’s most vulnerable children, starting a partnership with Save the Children. A joint venture that continues today with Fondazione Bvlgari, created in March 2024 to strengthen the Maison's cultural, philanthropic and social commitments long-term.

3,329,709 People Reached

Over the last 15 years, Bvlgari's powerful vision coupled with Save the Children's 100 years of experience produced tangible results, helping 3,329,709 people, including 2,363,216 children and youths, guaranteeing them quality education, youth empowerment, emergency response and aid in the fight against poverty. To improve the lives of disadvantaged children, Save the Children’s Bvlgari-sponsored programs involve families, caregivers, teachers, and other members of the community.

39 Countries Impacted

Save the Children’s strategic vision hinges on three main goals: that every child deserves to live, learn, and be protected. With Bvlgari's support, this mission has had a concrete impact on 39 countries worldwide. Save the Children works to ensure quality and inclusive education as well as access to adequate health services and nutrition, and, in order to have a longer-lasting impact, it implements sustainable intervention models that make families, youth and their communities stronger and more independent. On a global scale, Save the Children protects children from violence and abuse. To drive long-term change, it is implementing a localization strategy that will shift power to local actors.

Over $115 million donated

During this long-standing partnership, Bvlgari has raised more than 115 million dollars through the sales of the custom-made Save the Children jewelry collection specially created for this purpose. To date, the collection includes a sterling silver necklace featuring a round pendant with edgy metallic studs inspired by Bvlgari's signature line B.zero1 Rock that retails at EUR 850 (USD 800), as well as a ring (EUR 600/USD 580), a bracelet (EUR 650/USD 620) and two other pendant necklaces (EUR 790/USD 770 and EUR 700/USD 660). For each creation sold, 95 euros are donated to Save the Children.

A Brighter Future

Bvlgari's donations primarily went toward guaranteeing quality education as an indispensable premise for development. Other key areas of intervention include youth empowerment, emergency response and the fight against poverty.

Empowerment Through Baking

Bread is food, a cornerstone of every culture—and so much more. Chef Niko Romito’s journey to La Paz, Bolivia showed just how sacred this humble form of sustenance can be. As part of the Bvlgari and Save the Children Youth Empowerment Program in Bolivia, the world-famous Three Michelin-starred Chef, responsible for many Bvlgari hotel restaurants around the world, shared his knowledge on the art of bread-baking. A short time later, three very determined young people enjoyed the extraordinary opportunity to continue their training with Niko Romito and his staff in Castel di Sangro, Abruzzo, where the chef's Reale restaurant, Bread Laboratory and Academy are based.

Punto Luce delle Arti

In 2019, with the aim of shedding light on the future of children facing socio-economic challenges and limited access to education, Save the Children and Bvlgari created the first Punto Luce delle Arti, an inspiring 1,300-square-meter space in Ostia, Rome. Joining the existing Save the Children network of programs in the area, this hub for social activities, academic support and free education aims to develop talent and skills, teach arts and crafts and improve the prospects of these young people to ensure they have a better future.

An Inspiring Masterclass

Commitment. Mental toughness. Goal-setting. Teamwork. Resilience. The teachings of sports go far beyond physical performance or the results achieved in the game. The Italian basketball champion Luigi Datome—who made his way from the small town of Olbia to the NBA and the role of captain of the Italian national team—shared the positive values of sports in a motivating masterclass at Bvlgari and Save the Children’s Punto Luce delle Arti. The athlete spent a day with a group of about 30 young people between the ages of 10 and 16 to share the highest values of sports with them.
