A sustainable and innovative approach across all retail and production sites

"In the world of retail distribution, Bvlgari presents the first complete measurement and mapping of the CO2 emissions produced in manufacturing the furniture of a retail space."

Sustainability in retail

Bvlgari encourages solutions that allow stores to partially – rather than fully – replace window showcases by changing the fabrics according to a calendar set by the Maison. For the temporary and pop-up concept stores, such as the Watches or High Jewellery events, Bvlgari has envisioned and designed multi-use modular furnishings that disassemble and reassemble an average minimum of three times for ease of transport.

Retail network and carbon footprint

In the world of retail distribution, Bvlgari presents the first complete measurement and mapping of the CO2 emissions produced in manufacturing the furniture of a retail space (specifically Dubai Mall Fashion Avenue). The adoption of the innovative measuring system makes Bvlgari a pioneer: from 2023, all the new projects will make explicit the foreseen overall impact.

Environmental standards

The Maison's production sites have also worked their way toward being certified with ISO 14001 (the standards for Environmental Management Systems) and ISO 45001 (the standards for Health and Safety Management Systems) for the Manifattura Valenza and the High Jewellery Workshop in Rome; ISO 14001 for the Accessories site in Florence and for the Watches production sites in Switzerland; ISO 50001 (highest standards for Energy Management System) for the Horizon Distribution centre in Ireland. In 2022, Bvlgari achieved the goal of having 100% of its production sites and distribution centres ISO 14001 certified.
