STORE MANAGER
test
My name is Satù and I work as a Store Manager for Bvlgari. After my studies in Italy, I moved to France to study the cosmetics business, which is where I started my professional journey within the LVMH Group as a Sales intern in Paris. I then had the chance to further develop my career in sales and people management at Sephora where I was part of the Sephora Italia Talent Pool, a unique retail programme where I learned about retail excellence, people management, and operations.
In 2016 I moved to Venice and joined DFS Group, working in the Fondaco dei Tedeschi, a flagship store based out of an ancient and fascinating building close to the Rialto Bridge, as Beauty Floor Manager and then as Boutique Manager. Through the LVMH mobility programme, I relocated to Florence in 2021 and started my journey at Bvlgari as a Store Manager. Since March 2024 I cover the role of Store Manager at our Flagship Store in Milan.
My typical day at work starts with outlining the daily tasks for the store by writing down the priorities and sharing them with the team. Our morning briefing is a ritual that starts every day at the same time: before getting to business, we kick off with a short team-building game and enjoy a good espresso with an Italian croissant or another typical local snack. After that, I set out the daily targets, review the previous day with the team and we discuss other ongoing topics. I am in charge of leading the team to achieve sales objectives, establish store needs, manage new and existing clients. Moreover, I plan meetings and public relation activities with local business partners or other LVMH Store Managers to stay informed about market trends. One of my favourite moments during the day is celebrating a special sale or any big achievements - the team gathers together for a moment to celebrate the big effort everybody puts in!
Being humble, enthusiastic, and consistent. I am committed to providing my team with a specific vision. I fundamentally believe that you need to know where you are going and then be able to take your team in the right direction to succeed.
I know that a great leader needs to embody the brand values and ethos in order to transfer them both to the team and the clients. I believe my best qualities include my diligence, my resourcefulness when facing difficult challenges and my passion for coaching and managing people.
1) Be passionate: be ready to give your best for what you believe, and keep yourself engaged and motivated to do what you do.
2) Be curious: there is no success without learning and, as a leader, there is always something new to learn to improve your skills.
3) Be humble: it’s fine if you don’t have the answer for everything - if you have people around you and you are open to asking for their support, everything will always be fine. Acting with humility will also help your team to feel a sense of inclusion.
Being in LVMH allows you to be part of an ecosystem that is committed to developing your talent and enriching your knowledge throughout different Maisons. I feel I am constantly challenged to push my boundaries, always striving for excellence and innovation on a daily basis.
Last but not least, since I joined LVMH, I have had several opportunities to attend and participate in specific retail training workshops to further my learning.
