Anna Chiara
JEWELLERY MERCHANDISER
“Every day I see the connection between my work and the Bvlgari mission and strategic roadmap. The feeling that what I am working on has an impact on the company gives me a greater sense of purpose”.
Would you like to introduce yourself?
My name is Anna Chiara, and I’m originally from a small town just outside Bologna. I joined Bvlgari in 2018, as part of the Finance team. Over the years, I have held various roles across the Controlling, Network Development and Competitive Intelligence departments, and I'm currently in Jewellery Merchandising. Through my passion for travel and languages, I was able to study in the United States for two years and in Hong Kong for a year whilst I was at university.
“Diversity and team spirit are the heart and soul of the work culture at Bvlgari, so my background has allowed me to fit in well from the very start”.
What do you feel is different about working at Bvlgari?
There are many reasons why working at Bvlgari feels different. The first one that comes to mind is that our Maison gives you the opportunity to collaborate and learn from people with diverse backgrounds, skills and cultures. The company’s worldwide reach truly enriches my day-to-day learning experience and is a big plus that I would not have in a smaller setting.
How would you describe your job?
My role as a Product Merchandiser revolves around strategic product life cycle management and the optimisation of our product range on a global scale. This position enables me to act as a key link between the Business Units driving product development and the sales teams operating in our markets. Working closely with the Product Managers from our various Business Units, as well as the Supply Chain and Local Merchandisers around the world, I'm responsible for coordinating the launch of new collections.
This constant and engaging interaction is essential to ensure that market needs are taken into account right from the earliest stages of product development.
My work also involves analysing and establishing optimal product ranges, and carrying out detailed simulations to identify both potential efficiency barriers and new opportunities for growth.
When do you feel the team spirit the most?
I feel the team spirit most strongly when we set ambitious goals that require close cross-departmental collaboration. It inspires me to see how, at times like these, different perspectives and skills come together and mutually enrich one another. This process of integration and collaboration not only produces more robust and innovative solutions, but also fosters a culture of continuous learning and a strong sense of belonging.
Any advice for future talent wanting to pursue the same career path?
The main advice that comes to mind is to always stay curious. Asking questions, trying new approaches and constantly thinking about new and innovative ideas are all key parts of my daily experience at Bvlgari. I believe these are things you can even practice at university, through joining student clubs and taking part in group projects, or taking elective courses to enrich your CV.
