Passionate about combining features of Rome's Imperial glory with its contemporary aesthetics, Bvlgari began incorporating 2,000-year-old coins into its creations as early as the 1960s, propelling its unique heritage into eternal modernity. In keeping with this legacy, the Monete Catene High Jewellery secret watch in 18 kt yellow gold features a silver coin bearing the effigy of Emperor Caracalla, who ruled from 198 to 217 AD. Powered by the Piccolissimo in-house micro movement, the timepiece combines an octagonal diamond-set case with a supple bracelet made of two gold chains embracing the wrist, while a full pavé diamond dial is hidden under the cover.
