The International Watch Press Day in Shanghai and the Geneva Watch Awards
Bvlgari has held an International Brand Experience & Watch Press Day in its newly opened Bvlgari Hotel in Shanghai. This global and impacting operation under the theme of Rinascimento has gathered during two days 150 WW top medias, 50 high-profile Chinese collectors and 25 wholesalers who discovered several new watch creations within the historical (1913) Shanghai Chamber of Commerce which is part of the property. More than a watch dedicated event, these 3 days have allowed to the attendance to experience Bvlgari’s luxury experience within the Bvlgari Hotel, experiencing Niko’ Romito’s Michelin starred Chef cuisine during an amazing gala dinner. It gathered the International press alongside Chinese socialites and VIC’s. Last but not least, the attendees discovered during 2 days an impressive selection of new watch creations ranging from DIVAS' Dream Roman Nights to unique Serpenti Seduttori Manchette through the OCTO Grande Sonnerie Perpetual Calendar. This Rinascimento is meant to further elevate Bvlgari Watchmaking icons as the pinnacle of contemporary daring although timeless luxury watchmaking. More than ever Bvlgari is becoming the most desirable watch luxury Brand as suggested by the 2018 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève short list for the final Awards with not less than 5 Bvlgari Masterpieces nominated.
Since the launch of Bvlgari Horlogerie in 2010, Bvlgari has won a number of awards for its timepieces. This year is no different, with an unprecedented five out of six new Bvlgari designs nominated for a prestigious Geneva Watch Award. As always, this year's selections embody both Bvlgari's high jewellery artistry as well as a contemporary approach to breaking the design rules. The five outstanding timepieces nominated include the 18-karat gold Serpenti Pallini, LVCEA with a magnificent skeleton construction on the iconic Tubogas bracelet, and the DIVA'S Dream Finissima Minute Repeater. On the mens’ side, the OCTO Finissimo Minute Repeater Carbon has been selected by the Jury alongside the OCTO Finissimo Tourbillon Automatic. The latter is the 4th World Record successively launched by Bvlgari which redefines the frontiers of high-end watchmaking. These selections for the Geneva Watch Awards highlight Bvlgari's continuing visionary approach to design, and now all eyes are on Bvlgari Horlogerie to see what the final results will be.
