To find an emerald as eternal as Rome was a challenge requiring patience and savoir-faire, as well as a willingness to travel. Discovered in Colombia, the stone is exceptional for its mesmerizing nuance, depth of color, and imposing weight of 218.53 carats.

AESTHETIC LIGHTNESS

The diamond and buff-top emerald chain represent the finest work of stone embedding and setting, intended to support the weight of the necklace while maintaining an aesthetic lightness needed to offset the emerald. The structure echoes and enhances the central bezel’s vivid, lively colors.

The sweeping historical inspiration meets Bulgari’s design history, as the composition was derived from a heritage piece that has recently returned to the collection. The classic design was thus reformulated and crafted with a spectacular stone.

To set the central sugarloaf emerald, we use an exceptionally complex and highly unusual approach requiring 2,300 hours of production. In order to accomplish the task, two artisans were selected, in place of the usual one, to shape the piece from beginning to end. The masters were chosen for their complementary personalities, with technical skills and expert eyes that supported each other in perfect harmony.
